In the late spring of 2020, I began offering one-time anger management tools classes on Outschool. In these classes, I've helped students understand that if you are human, you get angry sometimes. Our challenge is in learning how to regulate our behavior when we get angry. These classes have proven so popular that parents have asked if I'd create a recurring anger management class, an activity in which students would have multiple sessions to learn about and reinforce anger management tools. 

This 4-week class will follow this basic outline:

  WEEK TWO:
	- Anger Drill Review & Reinforcement
	- Anger Triggers
	- Behavior Strategies
  WEEK THREE:
	- Anger Drill Review & Reinforcement
	- Negativity Bias
	- STEB Model (Situation, Thoughts, Emotions, Behavior)
  WEEK FOUR:
	- Anger Drill Review & Reinforcement
	- Positivity, Kindness, & Compassion
	- Next Steps

Like feeling joy and love, humans feel things like sadness and anger. In this class, students will have the opportunity to recognize that their strong feelings are not a sign of weakness or frailty, but part of the human condition AND that they have more control over their responses than they might think. 

While the conversation in this class is English, it is also ESL friendly, appropriate for CEFR: A2, B1, B2, and beyond. Having learners from different countries and backgrounds helps expand our opportunities to connect with and respect others.
