Description
Class Experience
Students will learn about painting background, blending colors with acrylic paints, using different brushes for different details, and proper clean up after a painting session.
No assigned homework, however, depending on speed, detail, and satisfaction with the painting, student may wish to spend more time on his or her work after our sessions are completed.
one 8x10 blank canvas, or thick art paper acrylic paints several brushes of different sizes one sponge brush 1" to 2" wide a plastic plate or tray for a palette a large cup of water for rinsing brushes paper towels newspaper to cover work area *I use a large clip board instead of an easel, if this option is readily available
informal, ongoing assessment as we paint, to confirm the student understands the technique or concept. Self-expression is encouraged. I like to provide lots of positive feedback so students have a good experience.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
