Angelina Ballerina Princess Party: Part 9 Angelina Makes It Happen! will be a one-time, story time class. Little dancers will hear the lovely story of "Angelina Ballerina Tries Again" by Katharine Holabird, about a young mouse who loves to dance, works hard to prepare for the recital and faces her fear along the way. We will read the story, interact and develop our comprehension and vocabulary - and then dance like Angelina! Ballet basics will be taught/reviewed including: plies, tendus,...
Students will develop skills, such as: reading comprehension, vocabulary, ballet basics and creative movement.
There is no homework for this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be informal assessments during the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Since this is a class that includes physical movement and dance, necessary steps should be taken to ensure the safety of the learners. It is recommended that the little dancers have ample room to move in which is free from any safety hazards. Additionally, the learner should be wearing clothing that they can move in, leotards, tights and ballet slippers would be great, but are not necessary. Finally, sometimes it has been found that the learners may get thirsty during the class, so water should be provided.
