Each session is designed to be engaging and immersive, bringing history to life with exciting projects, creative challenges, and lively discussions. Here are just a few of the exciting activities that students will complete during class: * Artifact Reproductions: Create your own ancient artifacts! Whether it's crafting a miniature clay tablet like the Sumerians or designing a colorful Egyptian cartouche, you'll get to use your creativity to bring history to life. * Cultural Cooking Challenges: Travel back in time by cooking up some ancient recipes! Learn to make dishes inspired by the cuisine of different civilizations, from Roman bread to Mayan chocolate. These cooking challenges are a great way to taste history and share delicious fun with your family. * Build and Conquer: Design your own ancient structures using household items or digital tools. Recreate the Great Pyramid of Giza, build a Roman aqueduct, or even design a Viking ship. Test your engineering skills and see if your creations can stand the test of time! * Ancient Games and Sports: Learn about the sports and games that ancient people played and then try them out yourself. Other Details
Parental Guidance
Students will be discussing the history and influences of ancient civilizations from around the world. While we will discuss all views, we will always champion the viewpoint of the oppressed and will tell the truth about all sides.
Learner supervision may be required in the kitchen when they cook cultural meals- Using chopping equipment and hot pans and ovens- Please help your learner with these where required.
We can also swap ingredients to meet individual requirements and intolerances, but please be aware of any allergies to inform us ahead of time.
