CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition I ALSO TEACH THIS CLASS ON MINECRAFT JAVA EDITION. PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER CLASSES OR CONTACT ME. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this course we will learn about life in Ancient Rome. Ancient Rome was a powerful and important civilization that ruled much of Europe for nearly 1000 years. The culture of Ancient Rome was spread throughout Europe during its rule. As a result, Rome's culture still has an impact in the Western world today. The basis for much of Western culture comes from Ancient Rome, especially in areas such as government, engineering, architecture, language, and literature. We will take a tour of Ancient Rome through the game of Minecraft. We will see the Colosseum up close and personal while also exploring the Ancient city of Rome. We will see Ancient Rome like never before! We will then work together to try and build our very own miniature Colosseum. Ancient Rome should not just be kept in the history books.
Learning Goals
In this class we will start at the foot of the centre of Rome and walk through the Ancient city. On our tour we will see some the incredible monuments that the Romans built. We will learn how and why they built these. By adventuring through this city we will gain a unique insight into what life was like for the Ancient Romans. We will learn what the Romans really did for us. We will see why the Colosseum was so important. We will see what Gladiators fought for. We will get to explore an incredible piece of Ancient history and then try to build a piece of it ourselves! History will be brought to life!

Parental Guidance
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
Supply List
A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
