From the mysterious to the monstrous to the mighty, humans from across the globe and throughout time have created stories to give meaning and structure to their experiences on earth. As diverse and distant as these stories can be, there are many similarities. This course will explore ancient Greek stories about heroes, gods and the universe. If you love mythology, history or even just a good story, this class is for you. We will discuss 2-3 characters per class, mainly covering how Greek Mythology began, the Titans, Olympians Come join us on our mythological adventure! ***Students must have a video on at all times and access to turn the microphone on during class participation. All students are expected to participate. Worksheet provided but optional. *All absences can watch the recording. PARENTS BEFORE CLASS: You'll need to turn on some notifications to receive communication from the teacher, weekly worksheets or changes in our class schedule. I have a proven dynamic teaching style and animated approach to teaching and learning. In addition, I'm passionate about meeting socio-emotional needs, in addition to academic, and have since become involved in Gals On The Go Project which provides prevention and resiliency workshops to kids through engaging activities, games, role-playing, crafts, and socratic group discussions.
