CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition I ALSO TEACH THIS LESSON IN MINECRAFT JAVA EDITION. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER CLASSES OR CONTACT ME. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this course we will learn about life in Ancient Greece. Ancient Greece formed the foundation of much of Western culture today. Everything from government, philosophy, science, mathematics, art, literature, and even sports was impacted by the Ancient Greeks. The arts, sports, medicine, law, language, science, mathematics, philosophy, buildings and even some inventions, have all been greatly influenced by the Ancient Greeks. We will take a tour of Ancient Greece through the game of Minecraft. We will see a Parthenon up close and personal while also exploring the Acropolis. We will see Ancient Greece like never before! We will then work together to try and build our very own Parthenon. Ancient Greece should not just be kept in the history books.
Learning Goals
In this class we will start at the foot of the Acropolis and walk through an Ancient city of Greece. On our tour we will see some the incredible monuments that the Greeks built. We will learn how and why they built these. By adventuring through this city we will gain a unique insight into what life was like for the Ancient Greeks. We will get to walk in the shoes in Ancient Greeks. We will see why the Parthenon was so important. We will see what Gods they worshipped. We will get to explore an incredible piece of Ancient history and then try to build a piece of it ourselves! History will be brought to life!

Parental Guidance
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
Supply List
A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
