Class Experience
In this 3 week course, students will learn about the rich history of Ancient India. Each week students will learn about a new topic to help them stay focused and maximize their learning during the 50-minute class session. Students will be provided with assignments outside of class to help reinforce what they learned in class. We will follow the schedule below. I can identify the caste system and its relationship to Indian religions. I can explain the impact India had on the modern world in mathematics, science, and technology. I can trace the development of the empire in India.
I have been a middle/high school Social Studies teacher for the last four years. I currently hold a 7-12 Social Studies teaching license in the state of Ohio and a Bachelor of Arts in History. I have covered the Indus River Valley with my students over the past three years, and have refined these lessons to be very engaging and impactful.
Learners will analyze primary source documents and answer comprehension questions based on the source.
All materials will be supplied by the teacher.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
