CLASS EXPERIENCE: MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION. This edition can be played on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. We will NOT be using Minecraft Java Edition PLEASE SEE MY OTHER CLASSES AS I ALSO TEACH THIS LESSON IN THE JAVA EDITION OF MINECRAFT. AGE RANGE: This class is designed for all ages and skill levels. Basic knowledge of English and Computers will be highly beneficial. Prior experience with Minecraft is not required. CLASS OVERVIEW: In this course we will learn about life in Ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt was one of the greatest and most powerful civilizations in the history of the world. It lasted for over 3000 years from 3150 BC to 30 BC. We will see how Egyptians gave us written language, why they built such huge pyramids and why cats think they are the best things ever. We will take a tour of Ancient Egypt through the game of Minecraft. We will see a Pyramid up close and personal while also exploring the great River Nile. We will see Ancient Egypt like never before! We will then work together to try and build our very own pyramids. Ancient Egypt should not just be kept in the history books.
Learning Goals
In this class we will start at the River Nile and walk through an Ancient city of Egypt. On our tour we will see some the incredible monuments that the Egyptians built. We will learn how and why they built these. By adventuring through this city we will gain a unique insight into what life was like for the Ancient Egyptians. We will get to walk and talk like an Egyptian. We will see why the River Nile was so important. We will see what they did with their dead. We will get to explore a Pyramid and then try to build one ourselves! History will be brought to life!

Parental Guidance
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
Supply List
A Minecraft account (also known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) must be purchased by the learner. Learners will receive access to the Minecraft server address to connect to. Minecraft Java Edition will NOT work. A pair of headphones and microphone are also needed.
