Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 6
Over this 5 week FLEX class, learners will explore various aspects of Ancient Egypt. Each week will focus on a different aspect of Ancient Egypt (see outline below) and no prior knowledge is required. I think learning should be fun and have designed this class with that in mind! On Monday of each week, I'll post the information and activities. This class is taught in English.
I am a certified social studies teacher with over a decade of experience working with learners. I am certified in Missouri and Indiana to teach social studies to grades 5-12. *Social studies refers to American History, Geography, Government/Civics, Sociology, Psychology, and World History. I focus on individualizing lessons to meet the needs of learners, including those who struggling and/or students who need more challenge. I have a BA in Political Science, a MA in Secondary Education, and an Ed Spec degree in Educational Technology. I use technologies in effective and creative ways to enhance the learning process and increase motivation of learners. During this class, it's inevitable that a few sensitive subjects will be included (such as: slavery, polytheism, and mummification). Discussion will be age appropriate.
