There is no better way to learn about a culture than by hearing what they have to say. In this course, we will explore the world of the ancient Egyptians in their own words, through stories, poetry and other writings. We will explore these texts with close line-by-line reading and discussion. Students will be expected to read over the materials before each class to familiarize themselves with the texts before discussion. Ms. Bender holds a MA in Egyptology from the University of Toronto and has experience teaching ESL, as well as tutoring a variety of topics. She knows how to make things fun while facilitating learning in her unique, personalized style.
