Take a journey through time to discover some of Australia's ancient animals.Become a Palaeontologist and look at real fossils to find out about the animals that called Australia home. Students will learn how scientists reconstruct the past by looking at different types of fossil evidence. Australia has an amazing diversity of animals that are found nowhere else in the world. The more we learn about animals form the past the more we can do to protect the future. Students will be able to ask questions at various points throughout the session. I also share a slide presentation with amazing animal images. There is a structure to the session including the following areas: - What are fossils? - Looking at the fossils record in Australia - Focus on Australian Dinosaurs - Focus on Australian Megafauna However my teaching style is organic and is directed by the students questions. I believe flexibility is the key to learning and the students enthusiasm and questions lead the direction of the session After the session I also have follow up resources where students can continue their exploration. Let your kids take a journey back in time.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My key focus is Earth and Environmental Science programs. I have been developing and delivering Earth and Environmental Education programs for the last 20 years and I am a passionate advocate of hands on learning. Over the years I have developed a range of programs to make learning natural science easy.
Workshops are designed to empower the students and provide them with the knowledge and skills to continue their learning. They will help increase the students' scientific literacy and critical thinking skills by participating in experiments, fieldwork and asking question.
In 2009 I began focusing on digital delivery of programs across Australia and I believe in the importance of virtual excursions as a learning platform. I think the best way is to participate in live, interactive video conference sessions. This enables students to ask questions and really be involved in their online education, interact not simply watch a video.
