Description

Class Experience

1. Identify the parts of our body that help create speech (lips, teeth, tongue, palate, nose, vocal folds, lungs).
2. Understand the ways they can be moved and placed to create different sounds. (ex. the tip of the tongue touches the bumpy part on the top of your mouth right behind your teeth to make the /t/ sound.)
3. Differentiate short and long air sounds.
I have a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and am a licensed speech language pathologist. I have 2 1/2 years experience working with children in elementary school.
Mirror or camera (to look inside their mouth)
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
