I am a certified English teacher for grades 7-12 in the state of Pennsylvania and have been teaching for 14 years. I have a master's degree in English curriculum and instruction and have been teaching this lesson for several years to the joy of my students.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Pixar shorts deal with emotional topics sometimes, including disabilities and loss. These are meant to have deeper meanings and teach lessons. One short will deal with a disability and how the person overcomes this perceived detriment.
Students will need access to Google Slides/Docs.
