This 8 class course will cover the analytics involved in today's game of baseball from the front office to the field from a former MLB player that is a current member of a Major League Baseball team's analytic department.
Class experience
This 8-session course is for a wide range of individuals. From math students and sports lovers to baseball players who need to learn the terms and numbers that every scout, coach, and general manager pay attention to today. I will teach students about basic to advanced analytical terms that are spoken about and used in today's game from WHIP, WAR, BABIP, ISO and more. The students will learn how to calculate those numbers and use them to establish value for players, and how to use them...
There will be a pdf available for each student before and after each class with material to work off of and keep for future baseball reference.
