I am a uk based technology teacher. I specialise in wood and metal work. I have taught 9-18 year olds practical skills for 10 years. I have taught construction (including brick and cement laying as well as tradition wood working techniques), engineering, and product design. I am an extremely experienced teacher within my specialism.
2 files available upon enrollmentWood slightly longer than required to be cut down. A saw. A hand held tenon saw is recommended, but a small jack saw or similar will be fine. A mitre block. A clamp. Hooks to be screwed to the back plate for either keys or coats. Screws. Screwdrivers. A drill. Glass paper and sanding block or off cut of wood. A finish of your preference that is safe for children to use. I suggest a natural wax. A cloth to apply the wax. Safety glasses. This list can be discussed and amended to suit individuals. Please contact me prior to the class to discuss.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is required when students are completing practical tasks.
