An Introduction to Immersive and Creative Storytelling
In this one-time class, we will talk about the power of storytelling elements, creative decisions needed for storytelling, and a bit on the strength of creativity.
Class experience
We will discuss the incredible and creative world of Shared Storytelling. This will discuss classes such as Dungeons and Dragons, Blending Genres in Storytelling, How to Tell a compelling story, Worldbuilding Classes, and more. Students will learn details on what considerate and compelling storytelling is like. They will also gain a strong understanding of how I run groups, my background, and my teaching style.
I have been an Event Facilitator for the past 11+ years, a Peer Specialist, and Youth Mentor for the past eight years, and a Professional Game Master for the past five years. I have attended several Conventions, Festivities, and Charity Events as a Public Speaker discussing the power of stories and discussing modern media over the last few decades. My years of experience include a focus on delivering community events that also benefit the School System, Youth Groups, Dungeons & Dragons Communities, and formal events for those looking for shared storytelling events.

Since this is a one-time class, I will focus on not assessing learners. I will focus on gathering what students need to attend courses through open discussion.Grades Offered
I only ask that those interested bring questions they may have, a way to document information such as a journal or note app, and an open mind.
Everything will be PG rated with a simple Zoom call. As this is a discussion, I will ask families what they would like to see with future content around sensitivities. We will also handle any reactions to sensitive information based on kindness, patience, and respect for everyone involved. I will implement kind, firm redirection if needed and notify Outschool if anything needs to be done about any harassment or bullying in the group. I want to ensure that attendees will welcome no bullying, hostility, or harassment.
We will refer to MANE, SAMHSA, Personal Rights, and HIPAA to demonstrate how I offer care and how the rights and privacy of clients will be respected. These resources are mentioned to emphasize my respect for each individual's privacy and rights.
