Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their understanding of empathy. Students will practice strategies to communicate with others in a kind and respectful way based on their situation.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed school counselor with extensive educational background about mental health topics. Although the content of the course is about empathy, individual learners will not be asked to share specific personal examples. Class discussion is intended to be general and higher level to provide a broad foundational understanding to support the learning and knowledge application.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
