A single class that will engage and inspire your child to chase any and all of their passions with hard work and perseverance while accepting that failure is a necessary part of success. This is not a writing or drawing instruction class.
Class experience
In this one-time class, I will share my journey of becoming an author and illustrator of children's books. Through storytelling, readings from some of my books, and showing my original art, I will engage and inspire your child to follow their own dreams and passions through hard work, perseverance and understanding that failure and mistakes are often part of the process. There will be a question and answer period at the end for a chance to ask questions and talk about your child's own dreams...
This is an inclusive class that covers lots of social emotional topics and how to handle them in real life. I will address topics like fear of failure and anxiety and provide techniques to help overcome them. By the end of the class, your child will feel empowered to go after their dreams and believe in themselves.
I have written and illustrated 32 books for children including board books, picture books, early reader chapter books, and middle grade novels. I have travelled across the country for over 10 years and spoken with hundreds of thousands of children, parents, and teachers at over 1000 schools and libraries in 43 states.
