Class experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to identify a problem and create a solution. Students will learn the five steps of the engineering design process:
1. Ask: What is the problem or question?
2. Imagine: What are some solutions?
3. Plan: Draw a couple of different diagrams
4. Create: Choose a plan and create something
5. Test: Did it solve your problem or question?
6. Improve: Make updates and changes
7. Share: Share your work
I have been teaching and guiding students through the Engineering and Design process for many years. I am always intrigued to watch as students plan and create to solve problems.

Assessments Offered
During the class, I will observe each student's thoughts and ideas during discussions to see if they demonstrate understanding of problem and solution. I will also be observing their understanding of the engineering design process. I will be looking to see how they followed the steps and incorporated them into their project.
