Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
Welcome to our ongoing art history club for artists of all levels, where we will focus on a variety of historical painters throughout time.

This is a social course that is perfect for beginner artists and specializes in discussing historical art pieces from an analytical perspective. First we will begin class learning about a specific artist from a historical movement and the different techniques he or she may have used to get their point across. We will ask questions like why did the artist did what they did and how did they do it? We will focus on the history behind each piece and the events that may have influenced the artist to make that specific work.

We will also focus on various techniques the artist used throughout history and then we will use our own materials to implement that technique in class during talk time. In addition to game time, we will then make our own artwork in response to the artwork we have just studied. All students are welcome to bring their own coloring or painting materials to class.

This is a homeschool friendly course that integrates different subject matter like art and history into it's curriculum while facilitating a social environment where students can learn through play. After the demo and game time talking amongst each other is encouraged.

** ALL STUDENTS ARE FREE TO USE WHATEVER ART MATERIAL THEY FEEL MOST COMFORTABLE WITH***
