Join our graphic novel book club as we jump into the first book in The Stonekeeper series, Amulet. In each session, we’ll break down the story, discuss the vibrant artwork, and explore the characters and themes that make the Amulet such a beloved graphic novel. Through interactive discussions, creative activities, and collaborative exploration, participants will enhance their reading comprehension, visual literacy, and storytelling skills.

In this session, we’ll dive into the opening chapters of The Amulet. We will explore the story’s setting, meet the main characters, and discuss the significance of the amulet that drives the plot. We will also discuss the pre reading questions.

In the second session, we’ll continue our journey with Emily and Navin as they navigate the challenges of the new world they’ve entered. We’ll dive into the themes of courage and the importance of choice, explore the development of the story, and discuss the cliffhanger that leaves readers eager for the next installment.

Parental Guidance
Parents need to know that The Stonekeeper is the first book in the Amulet series of fantasy graphic novels. Its prologue features the death of a parent, which might upset some younger readers. Please refer to Common Sense Media to see if this book is appropriate for your learner.
