In this one-time class, gamers will be given a code for a private game of Among Us. I will always play along with the group and ensure the discussion remains respectful to everyone in the class. We will play as many rounds as possible which will depend on the number of gamers. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ABOUT AMONG US ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Among Us is an online social deduction game that takes place in a space-themed setting in which players are either Crewmates or Impostors. Impostors are chosen randomly by the game. The goal of the Crewmates is to identify the Impostors, eliminate them, and complete tasks around the map; the Impostors' goal is to sabotage and eliminate the Crewmates before they complete all of their tasks. Crewmates use their deductive skills to vote off the Impostors while the Impostors may try to take over the discussion in order to avoid being discovered. In either case, accurate and concise communication is critical to each player getting the outcome they desire. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ TECHNICAL SETUP ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Gamers will need to have either the free or paid version of Among Us (from Google Play or Apple store) downloaded on one of their devices before class starts. We will be playing Among Us as well as talking on Zoom so gamers must use separate devices for each. Please test your technical setup before joining the class. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ MINIMUM # OF PLAYERS ▬▬▬▬▬▬ The game requires at least 4 players so, if there are not at least 3 gamers signed up (I would be the 4th player) about 8-12 hours before class starts, then the class will be cancelled and I would be happy to transfer your learner to another section or provide a refund. First time players are welcome! And feel free to have your learner join us as many times as they like!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, there! My name is Daynah and I am from Ontario, Canada. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as well as 18 years of experience in volunteering with children ages 2 and up. I am also TESOL certified. Back in university I took a course in logic and absolutely fell in love! Since then, I have found the joy of playing awesome games like Sudoku and Rebus puzzles. In general, I love playing games and often do so with the students I teach on other platforms. I believe this is a great way for kids to learn and I enjoy seeing their bright smiles when they are having fun. I hope to see your learner in class!
