Welcome to my Among Us themed multi-digit addition and subtraction with regrouping class! I'm Mrs. Boham, a certified math teacher, with 11 years of experience teaching, 10 of which were as a certified classroom teacher specializing in Math. I LOVE making learning fun, and I love to connect with my students and find things to make learning more fun for them. This Among Us math class is sure to keep your child interested, and help them work on their math skills. **In this class, learners will review and practice the standard algorithm for Adding & Subtracting Multi-Digit numbers with regrouping. Example: 182 + 48 **Previous knowledge: Learners should be fluent with basic addition and subtraction. Generally this is a great class for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th grade learners although that is simply a general guideline. Students will need the following materials in class: 1. Paper & Pencil or white board & marker 2. **Second device to play Kahoot game on (tablet, iPad, phone) * A second device is not required but encouraged. If your learner does not have a second device, please be sure to watch the video tutorial on how to split your screen *before* class begins so that your learner will be prepared for class and can participate in the Kahoot game. https://youtu.be/XBXeQ7w_ILs * IPAD/Tablets will not be able to split their screen using the steps above. This class will ONLY work if you have a second device available for class.

My name is Jennifer Boham and I have been teaching math for 15 years. I hold a Florida Teaching License with certifications in Elementary Education and Middle School Math.
I love helping students overcome learning blocks like frustration, self-doubt, and of course boredom. My goal is to make sure your child feels supported in class and confident in their academic ability. I achieve this through patience, kindness, positive encouragement and lots of FUN.
When I was a young student, I actually struggled with math! This gives me a unique perspective and helps me reach students who are feeling frustrated. I overcame that frustration because I realized that my mindset was the only thing in the way. I realized that math could actually be fun! I never would have believed that before! Here I am, many years later, starting my 16th year of teaching math - another plot twist! I look forward to helping your learner find joy in learning math this school year and gain the confidence that will propel them forward, helping them reach their dreams.
My family and I live in Florida with our dogs Pepper and Dexter and our cat Junebug. I enjoy traveling, gardening, biking, relaxing at the beach and going to Disney!
