Hello! In this class we will have fun playing Among Us. Students will have the chance to chat with like-minded peers who love playing Among Us just as much as they do. In this game the students will have fun completing small tasks around the spaceship such as connecting like colors, activating the wifi, plugging in codes, all while trying to figure out who the imposters are. Let’s work together to find the imposters and get the spaceship ready for take off. It is important for the students to have a device for zoom and a separate device to play Roblox: Among Us. Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Science from University of North Carolina at Wilmington
Hi! My name is Teacher Marlene and I have been working with students for the past eleven years. I love teaching and helping students learn new concepts!
I earned a Bachelors of Science in Marine Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. I’m excited to teach your child all about science! I am also passionate about teaching young learners how to read; it is so rewarding!
I have volunteered with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System in a pre-school classroom since 2010; working with students ages four to five. I have been a Seasonal Pre-Kindergarten Screener working with children ages three to four years old. I assessed children’s gross and fine motor skills, critical thinking skills, language development, and learning behaviors to evaluate who would benefit the most from a Pre-K experience. I have also been an online ESL teacher since July 2017 working with students from China. I have taught students from ages 3 – 16. For early learners I have taught them phonics, the letters, colors, and numbers. For the older students I have strengthen their reading comprehension skills and their critical thinking skills. I taught Earth Science classes such as “Taking care of the Planet” with the lesson’s main topics on “Pollution” and “Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle.” I have been working with children from ages 3- 16 for the past 12 years. I have taught fundamental Pre-K and Kindergarten skills, reading comprehension, water conservation classes and marine mammal conservation classes.
I believe learning should be fun and rewarding and I hope I can provide that for your children! I can't wait to see your kids in the classroom!
