Have you heard about the recently released Among Us - Hide and Seek? The rules have changed! In this new version of the game, players must work together doing tasks and trying to stay away from the imposter. Crewmates have the option to vent so that they may hide from the imposter, but the number of times that players can vent is limited! Students should have two devices so that we can continue to chat in the Zoom class while playing on another device. One of those devices must already have the app "Among Us" downloaded to it. Refunds will NOT be given for students who do not have game downloaded and updated. Please have your student on a device with the latest version of the app. Typically, I let the students vote on the map that we will use for the game. It is likely that we will play every map during the class period. Typical class: Introduce myself Review rules for new students. Teacher will create a private lobby for players. Students will enter the private lobby using the unique code given by the teacher. Please note that I use the "round robin" option to determine who acts as the impostor. I am unable to control this aspect of the game. That means that I am unable to guarantee that each student will get a turn as the impostor. This class will be a great way for students to develop community with other students that enjoy playing Among Us. Please note the following: This class requires a minimum of 4 students per class. Parental Guidance
The game should be downloaded BEFORE your child comes to this class.
It is recommended that you do not try to use Zoom and Among Us on a computer as a split screen. Students often get kicked out of the game when they are transitioning back and forth, which can be very frustrating.
Please be aware. If your child is not playing the paid version of the game, there are ads. Some ads could be inappropriate for children.
This game can be difficult for children that are not prepared to lose. Please have a conversation with your child before joining this class so that they are aware that they cannot be a sore loser or winner in this class.

Please have a device to play on while also continuing to converse in our Outschool Zoom classroom. Please be sure that your child has downloaded the app before class. I have listed 4 options to help you acquire the game, I will be using the app that I have downloaded from the itunes app store. If you choose to download if from STEAM, there is a charge. The other sites will allow you to download it for free, but with ads. You can pay a minimal to have an ad-free version. There is now an option to play on the Nintendo Switch. You can download Among Us in the Nintendo e-store.

Hi! My name is Lauren, but my students call me "Best Teach". I graduated from Westminster College in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I earned my Pennsylvania English as a Second Language Program Specialist K-12 certification. I moved to Shenandoah, Virginia to teach English as a Second Language in 2006. I taught over 40 students (K-12) at 4 different schools. In 2007, I moved to the traditional first grade classroom.
Since then, I have taught in many different capacities. I have taught baby sign language to parents, online for two years as an English as a Second Language teacher, and as a homeschool tutor. My most valuable teaching experience has come as a homeschool mom. I have been teaching my neurodivergent 15 year old son and neurotypical 12 year old daughter since the day they were born.
I bring a variety of classes to Outschool, because I like to pull from all of my interests and talents.
