Course Overview: This ongoing class focuses on enhancing communication, strategy, and teamwork through weekly Among Us sessions. Each week, we explore new social dynamics, deception techniques, and strategic approaches, allowing players to refine their skills and connect with others in a fun and interactive environment. The course is designed for all levels, from beginners to experienced players, and aims to build social skills, critical thinking, and group dynamics through gameplay. Objective: Get familiar with Among Us’s basic mechanics, roles, and game settings.
Activities:
Brief walkthrough of game mechanics (roles, tasks, sabotage).
Icebreaker: Short matches to familiarize everyone with the gameplay.
Group discussion: How do you approach communication and trust-building in Among Us?
Home Practice: Watch a beginner’s guide video on Among Us strategies.

Communication and Critical Thinking
Objective: Explore the importance of communication and the art of deception.
Activities:
Play through rounds focused on communication styles (verbal, non-verbal, logical).
Group analysis: Discuss successful and failed deception attempts.
Tips and tricks for both Crewmates and Impostors.
Homework: Reflect on your communication strategies in a brief journal entry.

Focus on teamwork-based challenges, such as protecting Crewmates and coordinating sabotage.

Practice different strategies as Crewmates (e.g., group tasks) and Impostors (e.g., sabotaging strategically).
Homework: Create a strategy cheat sheet for both Crewmates and Impostors.
