This is a social club for learners who want to play Among Us among friends and in a safe, semi-controlled environment. For first time players and their grown-ups: Among Us is a game where players are on a spaceship and run around trying to complete tasks,, but one player among them in the imposter trying to fake doing tasks,, hide in plain sight, and kill off other players. (There are graphics when players are killed with cartoon blood, guns, etc.) Cyber safety will be enforced by me making a private server for the game, not allowing profanity or inappropriate behavior in the chats, and encouraging good sportsmanship. Please request a section time that works for you! They usually fill pretty well, so I am happy to try and accommodate as many learners as possible. NOTE: This group works best for players who have played before, but I'm happy to explain how to play in a quick video or a conversation if need be.
Learning Goals
Students will learn critical thinking, sportsmanship and polite gaming etiquette, and have a good time in the process!
Other Details
Parental Guidance
The game will have a censored chat, but some learners or grown-ups may find the graphics of the game when a player is killed (exposed bone, bodies laying on the spaceship floor, kill graphics when you as a player are killed by the imposter, though it is cartoon and very quick) disturbing.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone! My name is Abbie! I finished my master's degree in library science from Drexel University in September 2023; I also hold a BA in English and journalism from the University of Delaware; some of my favorite coursework outside of my major were classes in other forms of writing, literature, art history, performing arts, and social sciences. When I am not in class, you can find me reading anything I can get my hands on and watching LOTS of Netflix. I look forward to talking to you all more!
