Calling all Crew Members! In this one-time gamer class, kids will join our private server room to play Among Us with their peers. We will play as many rounds as time allows. In order to play, crew members must use clues, communicate with the team, and build trust. Players will have to work together if they want to win the game and defeat the "imposter". Don't worry if this is your first time playing Among Us, I will also be playing so that I can help answer questions. How to play: The crew will be given tasks to solve aboard a spaceship while an impostor will be blending in to avoid looking suspicious. While learners are completing crew tasks, they will be muted. Once a body is found and reported, the surviving crew will be unmuted to discuss and share their suspicions about who they think the impostor is. A round ends once the impostor is voted off or the Imposter succeeds in getting rid the entire crew. Note: We must have a minimum of four crew members for each game. I will always join as a player to monitor the game and discussion. If the minimum numbers of players is not met, I will gladly transfer or refund learners. Students should ideally have 2 devices for the class. For example, they can take the class on Zoom on a PC, and they can play on a tablet or phone. The exact configuration is your choice. The mobile APP is free. The game should be downloaded before class time so that they are ready to play when they enter class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I graduated in 2014 from Ball State University with Bachelors of Science degree in Theatre Education and a minor in Technical Theatre. With five years of leading high school and middle school theatre programs, I have had the opportunity to direct an extensive number of productions and ensured excellence for all of my student. I have had students advance to Thespian Nationals, selected to perform at the American High School Theatre Festival In Edinburgh Scotland, and accepted into to top ranked universities for theatre. As a teacher and an artist I pride myself on being a life long learner, I have had the opportunity to train with artists like Tony Award Winner Sutton Foster and playwright Don Zolidis. I believe students benefit greatly from involvement in the arts, and that theatre provides an incredible platform for students to build self-confidence, develop empathy, and explore creativity and self-expression.
I meet all my students exactly where they are. Students with a wide range of experience levels can find a welcoming environment in my classes. I tailor my classes to my students and what they need for personal growth. I have a background in developing theatre programs for students with special needs and fostering their growth through the arts. All of my classes are inclusive and provide a safe community where students feel open to express themselves and share their work.
I enjoy movement based acting, playwriting, directing, and I am trained in the Stanislavksi, Adler, and Hagen Acting Methods. As a teacher I love watching artists grow and find their passion. I offer class in playwriting, acting, resume building, improvisation, and private lessons,
When I am not working in the theatre, I love spending time with my family, cooking, hiking and doing yoga. I have two sons, Henry and Adler. My son Henry has Kabuki Syndrome and is deaf. Our family is bilingual and we are excited to continue learning ASL and about Deaf Culture.
