The students will mimic the teacher and learn how and where to put their hands when signing a sign. We will be learning only verbs in this class and it would be helpful if students already know the alphabet in sign language. There is a large range of verbs in the English language so two classes would be used to cover frequently used verbs in sentences and how to sign them.
Students will improve their understanding of verbs in American Sign Language, one of the major steps before learning how to sign sentences.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
