Description
Class Experience
Students will learn all of the signs needed to sign the United States' National Anthem. By the end of the class, they will be able to sign the whole song!
I have taken 4 semesters of American Sign Language while in college and have continued to remain fluent in this beautiful language. Throughout my time learning ASL, I had the opportunity to learn how to sign the National Anthem, so I thought this would be a fun, higher-level course for some of my students!
While there is no "official" homework, I highly encourage students to practice their signs nightly in order to help them retain the signs.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
PLEASE make sure your student has some American Sign Language background--even just the basics will be helpful. This will be a fast-paced, more advanced course that is recommended for students who already have some ASL knowledge.
