* No previous ASL experience necessary* Mrs. G loves art and ASL - Learn ASL signs while playing with modeling dough! Music might also be played to help with learning. Students will work through the ASL alphabet using moulding medium of parents choice. I will be using moulding dough including a variety of colors. Each week 3-4 images will be posted. Images can be printed as an "option" to parent and student as an outline to place the moulding dough on for easier formation. This is art and...
*Moulding medium of parents choice in a variety of colors. You can also find a recipe for moulding dough online and use that as well. If you would like to keep students creation, use an air-dry clay. Creating dough activities on wax paper helps to remove without tearing. * A protected surface to prevent possible staining depending on the moulding mediums chosen. *Something to roll the dough out with. Not necessary. It is also fun to push the dough down with our hands.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Play-doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease. Please use caution when selecting your chosen moulding medium.
