American Sign Language for Littles- Action Words/Movement Class Part 2

Hello and welcome to my teacher profile! 
As you can see in my headline, I am a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. However, since having two children Gabe (2) and Mira (4 months), I have decided to stay home with them. I have been married to my best friend for 3 years and have been loving it!  
Before I decided to be a stay at home mom, I was doing speech therapy in a birth to 3 setting. I specialized in children with hearing loss and have become quite fluent with sign language. I took 2 years of American Sign Language in my undergraduate program and worked with children with hearing loss using sign language for 3 years in my professional career. 
I am excited to incorporate my master's degree into my classes with Outschool. As a speech pathologist, my classes will focus on language, proper English, critical thinking, memory, fun interaction, and body language skills. 
My classes will be laid back, interactive, engaging, full of laughter, and will meet your children where they are at! I have experience working with a wide range of learners and am excited to meet you! 

Fun facts about me: 
1. I played Division 1 softball in college... maybe I'll teach a softball class one day if the demand is high enough ;) 
2. I love guacamole and eat it almost every day :D 
3. My husband and I make almost everything in our kitchen from scratch. We love to cook and bake.

Class Policies: 

1. My goal is to start and stop classes on time to make scheduling easier for everyone! This means, I will begin even if all learners are not in the classroom unless there appears to be a technical issue. 

2. If no students are in the classroom, I will wait 10 minutes before leaving the classroom and cancelling the class. If this happens, I will contact the families to transfer students to a new session. 
 
3. If student behavior becomes distracting during class, I will mute the student to increase learning and limit distractions for others. 

4. Students are asked to put phones away during class to increase learning and avoid distractions.  

5. Parents and siblings are permitted to watch class. However, if a sibling is also going to participate, I will require this student to also be enrolled in the class. Thank you for understanding! 

6. Student participation and behavior are very important to me. If a student is not behaving accordingly, they will receive three warnings before being placed in the waiting room and will be readmitted to class when the teacher feels they are ready to rejoin. If behaviors are extreme enough, the parent will be contacted by the teacher and the OutSchool team will be notified as well.
