[Structure]

>Mondays: A video lesson will be shared on the Outschool page. Students should follow along with the video and "copy-sign" the teacher.
>Wednesdays: A practice lesson/suggestion will be posted (in video or PDF format) will be posted on the Outschool classroom for students to use and practice with. Students will be encouraged to record and share their video with the classroom in the comment section of that post. *This is optional but highly suggested so the teacher can give positive feedback and see learner progress.
>Fridays: The instructor will post a video (voice-off) signing no more than 10 signs/phrases. Students will be instructed to write down what the instructor is signing and then type them into the comment section of that post. This is GREAT receptive skill practice which is a crucial skill to master in the language.
*Parents, if your child is not able to write yet, you may write and type their answers for them.

The instructor will post Youtube videos (of the instructor) signing and teaching the lesson. Students WILL NOT have to go to outage to watch these videos. They stay within the Outschool platform. *Every Wednesday, the instructor will make a post and encourage students to post a video of themselves signing. Teacher expertise and credentials
I studied American Sign Language Interpreting in college and received my Bachelor's Degree through Northern Arizona University. I have been a sign language Interpreter in the K-12 setting for the past eight years. I am fluent and passionate about this beautiful language and Deaf culture. I also have experience teaching. So I figured why not merge the two together!
