Beginner Level
* American Sign Language for Beginners Camp recommended* This class is a following of the American Sign Language for Beginners Camp Part 1. In the first course we already learned many basic signs and how to begin a conversation in sign language. In class we will practice engaging with one another in sign language and practice expressing what they like and don't like to do. We will have time to practice going over the signs several times to make sure the students feel comfortable with it. I encourage all the students to feel free to ask questions and share their thoughts as we are learning. We will use class discussions and I encourage you to participate the most possible. That we you can feel comfortable interacting with others in sign language. It will also make the class more enjoyable for you and others. Hope to see you in class!
Learning Goals
Students will learn signs they can use everyday. Students will feel comfortable engaging with others in a conversation in full ASL.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a part of the deaf community for several years and fell in love with the language and cultural quickly. After learning the language, I would volunteer at Deaf events and do my best to be involved wherever I could. Eventually I decided to join an Interpreting Program to improve my skills and I graduated with my Associates degree in Sign Language Interpreting. Since graduating, I have worked as an Interpreter in the educational system and within the community. I am excited to share the beauty of this language with other young ones to encourage them to see how amazing it can be to be a part of something bigger.
