Description
Class Experience
Each week students will be expected to watch the video lessons and complete the corresponding activities. The amount of time this takes will vary by student, but families can expect to spend 1-2 hours a week doing work and studying American Sign Language. This will also vary by student, and I am happy to further challenge students who excel during the class.
Students will curate their own video dictionary to keep!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Student's will be assessed via Pear Deck, Quizizz, Kahoot, and Flipgrid. Because ASL is a visual language, it is important that students record themselves and interact with their classmates via recording (Flipgrid) to improve their expressive (signing) and receptive (watching) skills. I will also use this to correct, modify, and encourage students.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
