Class Experience
Hello and Welcome to Advanced - Section 2 American Language Sign (ASL). Highly Recommend that your learner has taken at least one class or done a private one. This class is designed to help learn and communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) and understand ASL sentence structure. During class, we will be using both voices off and with the voice on. During the course, we will be using the break-out room to practice with other learners in class. The learners will be encouraged to interact...
To be able to sign with both voices on and voice off. Be able to know the difference between Signed English and American Sign Language. By the end of these eight weeks, you will be able Fingerspell your name and essential words and numbers. Basics about deaf culture Understanding of ASL sentence structure Understanding of Classifiers
No Sensitive or High risk topic are covered in this class. I have been teaching American Sign Language for over 15 years. I worked in the Deaf community for 10 years. I teach a music and movement program in my local area and teach American Sign at different Preschools in my local area. We use signs to community as my daughter who is Hard of Hearing . My teaching style is make learning fun and keep learning.
Just practice what we learned each week! We will learn about the sentence structure in American Sign Language. We will sign with both our voice on and voice off.
