American History by Era is a number of short courses that students can take to learn about American History. Students can choose one of the courses independent of the others or take all of them to get a full understanding of American History. The classes will be offered chronologically; however, if there is one of particular interest, please request it and I will offer it at a different time. This short course on the Vietnam War will cover why we were involved in the Vietnam War, what happened and the long term impacts of the war. Each week will have a theme or topic to be covered. Students will have some homework, but it will consist of gaining background knowledge so that we can do activities and apply what was learned during our scheduled times. In this course we will cover the following: Week 1: Origins and Gulf of Tonkin Week 2: How the War was Fought Week 3: Protest and Turmoil Week 4: Legacy of the War
