In this lesson we will read and watch a few video clips about Joss Kendrick, the first American Girl doll with a hearing impairment. We will discuss how she deals with her hearing loss. She is an avid surfer who happens to have a hearing impairment. In the story she uses some ASL, but mostly uses hearing aides and reads lips to help her hear better.
