In this one time class, learners will engage in conversation while sharing and telling about their favorite American Girl Dolls! The class will begin with introductions of the teacher and learners. Everyone will start by sharing their favorite American Girl Doll. We will take turns showing and sharing about different American Girl Dolls. We will describe why they are our favorite dolls while practicing public speaking, listening, turn-taking, and social skills. If you have any American Girl doll accessories you can bring those to class too. After every learner has had 1-3 turns to share and talk, we will open up conversation with everyone. If the learners need help getting the conversation started, the teacher will have questions prepared in advance to guide the learners. Looking forward to seeing all the American Girl Dolls!

Hi! I have been teaching for the past 19 years to many different ages focusing mostly in the primary grades.
I have a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Reading & Literacy and a Teaching Certificate. I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grades. I have also worked as a learning support teacher helping students who need extra support in math and reading. Additionally, I tutor locally according to my students learning styles. I have also spent time as an online teacher through different platforms.
I will be offering phonics, beginning reading, sight words, sign language, and much more!
I believe that each child learns in their own unique way and I love to teach the way that the child learns best. I have a hands-on fun approach to teaching. My goal is to make learning fun!
I have three of my own kids ages 12, 14, and 16. We love exploring the outdoors and going on all kinds of adventures! I have a pet Goldendoodle and my favorite color is blue.
