In this lesson we will read and watch a few video clips about Julie the first American Girl doll from the 70s. We will discuss what it was like in the 70s and use a PowerPoint and pictures of 70s.. Some things that we will discuss are how things are changing changing in the world. We will discuss things children did back then, such as what they did for fun. After this, learners will share there dolls and assessceries.This will be a blast from the past. You can share any doll you would like....
Students will explore and have a better understanding of the 70s.
I have a master’s degree plus 30. I am certified in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, learning disabilities and Primary Montessori. I have the literacy endorsement and I have also been the Literacy Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year. I am trained in Project Read. I also grow up in the 70s.
Doll with accessories (not necessarily an American Girl Doll).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will observe to see if students are able to engage and answer the questions and the 70s.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
