Join in at any time for this weekly subscription American Girl craft class! Each week we will do a different craft from a Historical doll's craft book. During class, we will talk about the history and meaning of each craft and how it relates to the doll and its time period. I will guide the students step by step in making each craft, always checking in with each student to make sure everyone is following along. July 21st - Felicities Straw Hat sharp knife or craft knife cutting board ruler straw hat- can find cheap ones on amazon or dollar stores 5 feet of ribbon, 2 inches wide scissors fake flowers and or feathers fabric glue paper towels July 28th- Julies Chinese lanterns 6x3 inch pieces of paper-fun prints are good but plain paper works just as well scissors tape ribbon or string hole punch August 4th- Samanthas Bow for you and your doll For your bow: scissors 1 1/4 yard of stiff ribbon 2-3" side french clip barrette at least 2 1/2" long For Dolls bow: French clip at least 1 1/2 " long 3/4 yard of ribbon 1-2" wide August 11th- Kirstens Handkerchief Doll 6-inch circle of fabric in a skin tone ball of stuffing- cotton balls will do the trick as well, this is for the head of the doll so you don't need much! 1 handkerchief or 15x15 piece of fabric string August 18th- Felicity's Berry ink and quill QUILL: 10-inch long feather such as goose. crafts are simple however, some may call for the use of a hot glue gun, scissors, needles, and other crafting tools. If your child is not comfortable with some items please have someone around who can assist or pre-prep items if possible.
