Class Experience
Sparklers: Red, white, and blue shiny ribbon- a little bit stiff is good but any ribbon will work. Duct Tape - if you can find it in red white or blue that would look best Wooden Kabob Stick, a straw or pencil work great too! Scissors Ruler Crowns: Red white and blue pipe cleaners- I like the sparkly ones :) Shortcake: 2 cups flour 1/4 cup sugar 2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 6 tablespoons butter cut in small cubes 3/4 cup heavy cream Berry topping: 1 LB of Blue berries and strawberries 1-2 tablespoons sugar Whipped Cream 1 cup whipping cream 1 Tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract powdered sugar for serving Rolling pin electric mixer pastry blender or 2 butter knives 2 large mixing bowls medium mixing bowl biscuit cutter or mason jaw lid cookie sheet doll cookies Foam sheets in brown, red, white and blue hot glue or school glue scissors pencil or pen
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using the oven and other kitchen tools. Please have parent around to help off camera if student is not comfortable cooking alone in the kitchen.
