Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts
I have been an educator for more than 25 years. During that time, I have taught elementary school and high school (last 16 years). I have taught every level of student and I know how important it is to begin where a student is: to capitalize on strengths and to improve and work on weaknesses. I teach Language Arts: reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, (especially for college applications) and literature. Over the past ten years, I have become a most sought after SAT/ACT tutor and I love helping students to achieve scores needed to be able to appy to schools of their dreams! My students also often call me a "life coach". I connect with teenagers-I tell it like it is and I encourage them.
Lasy year I became a grandmother for the first time to two beautiful little girls. My favorite thing to do is read books to them!
