In the Bessie Coleman section the topic of segregation and racism in America at this time is discussed In the Annie Oakley section Native American Indians are talked about briefly, only how they performed with her and the Buffalo Bill show. But the class focuses more on her childhood and career. Nellie Bly we talk about asylums at the time and the treatment of their patients, which can be abusive. And of course, during Marie Antoinette we discuss the French Revolution and the guillotine
