Teacher expertise and credentials
I am currently an Environmental Scientist for a private firm and graduated with a degree in Biology, focusing on Wildlife Conservation. My ultimate goal is to become a Wildlife Biologist, teaching on the side is just one of the ways I stay inspired to achieve my dream while hopefully inspiring others.
I am able to engage all types of learners (auditory, visual, and kinesthetic) so that they are able to get the most out of the class. Classes will be mostly lecture based with visuals (pictures and videos) and highly encouraged class discussions (for our kinesthetic learners). This also gives the students a chance to socialize with peers in a controlled environment. I have worked with reptiles and amphibians hands-on through research for school and volunteering at local wildlife foundations.
I grew up having a passion for learning about animals to better understand them and save them in the wild. Being able to spread the awareness and share the amazing information I learn with others helps keep me inspired for the work I do. I decided to start teaching on my own to share the wonderful knowledge and to have a voice the animals that otherwise go unnoticed.
Outside of teaching I can be found volunteering for wildlife organizations, reading, drawing, or hiking.
