In this one time class learners will learn about the ocean zones and make an ocean zones jar.

Class experience

US Grade 1 - 4
-Learners will be able to identify the five ocean zones, and will be able to describe some of the zones identifying features. 
-Learners will complete a project representing the various zones. 
-jar with lid
-corn syrup, can substitute maple syrup or molasses. 
-water
-oil 
-liquid dish soap 
-rubbing alcohol
-food coloring
-Optional: You can use masking tape and a marker/pen to label the zones 
-Learners will use corn syrup, water, oil, soap, rubbing alcohol and food coloring. Please ensure that your child has appropriate supervision, or the skills to use these items independently. 
-Supervision must occur with adults off-screen per the Outschool policy.
