Let's learn the zones of the deep blue sea! The ocean is divided into five distinct zones, each with their own unique features. In this class, we explore all five zones, in a student centered discussion. We will answer any questions that we may have about the different layers, and will discuss the specific features that distinguish the individual layers from one another. Lastly, we will use a jar, corn syrup, water, oil, soap and rubbing alcohol to make a model of the ocean's layers. Classes are delivered in an engaging and student centered format.
Learning Goals
-Learners will be able to identify the five ocean zones, and will be able to describe some of the zones identifying features.
