Description
Class Experience
Students will learn, practice and improve the following math skills: calendar, number sense, number recognition, number word names, numerical order, counting to 100, money, skip counting, adding and subtracting, comparing quantities between 10 and 20, grouping by 10, multiplying using repeated addition, graphing, time, performing mental math, solving logic puzzles, games and F.U.N. (That’s a math skill, isn’t it?).
There will be a Follow Up Activity (handout) every week, posted in the description and in the classroom. It will be for practice and will not be checked or graded by me the following week.
1 file available upon enrollmentThis is listed in the description. Learners should always have a whiteboard, marker, pencil and paper.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
observation, classwork
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
The online math games and activities used in this class are all linked from my screen share so learners will not need to click on any external links.
I created this adventure from a Grade 2 Math workbook. I will share my screen. Students with computers and a mouse or touchscreen monitor seem to be able to draw and move objects the easiest. It would be very helpful if your learner already knows how to use the Zoom annotate tools to draw, write and circle. At least one whiteboard, dry erase marker and cloth eraser is recommended. Blank paper and a marker or pen should always be available. (Pencils do not show up in the camera when I ask the learners to show me their work.)
