Do you have a young animal lover at home who can’t stop talking about dogs? In this fun and interactive one-time class, learners will explore the amazing bodies of our furry friends—how they move and sense the world, what makes them special, and how they compare to their wild relatives, wolves!
Join Ms. Kate (animal educator, dog care professional, and lifelong animal lover) for a science-packed session where we’ll learn just how incredible dog bodies really are—from super sniffers and tippy-toe walkers to floppy ears that can rotate like satellite dishes!

🧠 What will be taught?
In this lively science-meets-animal-behavior class, students will learn:
Dogs have some superpower smelling and hearing
How their bones and body parts help them do amazing things
What makes dog bodies similar (but not the same!) as wolves
That humans designed different dog breeds for different jobs
How to make scientific observations just by watching dogs in action!

I’m all about warmth, energy, and sparking excitement for learning. I create a welcoming space where kids feel safe to share, ask questions, and be curious. My background teaching kids about animals helps me connect deeply with young learners, and I LOVE their questions!

I have 5 years of experience as an informal children's educator, leading fun and engaging science programs. Relevant to my dog programs,  I went to school to learn about animal behavior, especially dog behavior. I've taken care of dogs in animal shelters, and I've taught kids programs at animal shelters too. These days, when I'm not teaching, I'm a professional dog sitter.
