Description
Class Experience
I will teach how to create paintings and drawings using simple step-by-step techniques. The students will learn how to create new colors by blending or mixing and how to create special effects using everyday household items. For each, I will list the learners’ supply list and all the necessary templates they need to print ahead of time to bring to class. I will show them through examples how to paint/draw tree, flowers, create 3D arts and crafts, paint various styles on canvas and paper....
This class will explore the life and art styles of different artists such as Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, and Vincent Van Gogh. The kids will create their art project based on these art styles. Day 1 - Claude Monet - Impressionism Day 2 - Georgia O'Keeffe - American Modernism Day 3 - Pablo Picasso - Cubism Day 4 - Vincent Van Gogh - Post-Impressionism Day 5 - Summary and finish up artwork
I have over 15 years of experience teaching art at children's classes and summer and winter camps as well as homeschooling art classes.

1. Blank sheets of stock paper (5 white or light beige, 1 gray, 1 blue, 1 green, 1 yellow) 2. Crayons, colored pencils, markers 3. Acrylic Paint (blue, green, red, yellow, white, black) 4. Cotton swabs (handful) 5. Paintbrushes (1 small, 1 medium, 1 large) 6. Child Scissors 7. Gems of different colors 8. Plastic table cloth (for working area); old t-shirt to wear to protect clothing; few pieces of paper towel 9. Clear glue or glue stick 10. White Paper plates (not foam not plastic) 1 small and 1 large 11. Canvas 8 x 11 (optional, if student chooses stock paper). Otherwise get 4 canvases. 12. Construction paper (brown, black, beige, green)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The students' progress will be assessed by their beautiful artwork!
5 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
